Combustion analysis
What it is
Remember to calibrate the combustion analyzer outside and measure outdoor baseline CO levels before the test to ensure the accuracy of CO readings.
For a water heater, insert the combustion analyzer probe down into the water heater before the draft diverter and take readings on both sides of the baffle.
Range-Top Burners: Hold probe of combustion analyzer 6” to 12” above each burner. The reading should max out and then stabilize after about two minutes. Each burner should read less than 25 ppm as measured.
Its parts
If it may be unsafe
If you smell gas, leave the house and call Peoples Gas at 866-556-6002 or 911 from outside. If your CO alarm sounds or anyone feels sick, leave and call 911 from outside.
AirLogic is not an emergency service.
